The Mindset That Distinguishes the Successful from the Average

Being the best is not an easy task. That’s just the inconvenient truth.

Ask Donald Trump, Anthony Joshua, Usain Bolt, Mark Zuckerberg and other successful people out there, all of them will tell you one thing: Success doesn’t come cheap on a platter of gold.

You just have to work for it. That is, you need to do things differently if you want to stand out from the pack. You also need to have a different mindset to be more successful than others.

In fact, the difference between the best and rest is nothing but their mindset – the established behaviors and beliefs held by them. For instance, if you give two people the same time and the same amount of money to start a business, you will still find out that one person will still be more successful than the other.

The Mindset that Distinguishes the Successful from the Average

Why? It’s their mindset.

It is their mindset that influences the decisions they make, the way they react under pressure, and how they handle issues. Wondering what those mindsets are?  Below are the mindsets that distinguish the successful from the average, the rich from the poor and the best from the rest.

1. They Never Give Up

The recent bout between Anthony Joshua and Wladimir Klitschko is a vivid example of how successful people don’t give up.

In the 6th round, Klitschko had the upper hand, giving Joshua some heavy jabs until the English man was knocked down in that round. However, despite this setback, Joshua did not give up.

He recovered in subsequent rounds and in the last round, he gave Klitschko an uppercut which sent the Ukrainian professional boxer down and the rest is history now.

Joshua won the bout not because he was more experienced than the former heavyweight champion Klitschko but because he had the mindset of not giving up.

2. They Are Self-Motivated

Self-motivation means the ability of a person to accept and complete any tasks without seeking any external inspiration from other people. It is a fact that people who are self-motivated are more successful than those who are not.

The best people in any field don’t need others to inspire them.

They can motivate themselves. This is because unlike the average people, the successful people have the passion, zeal, willingness, and enthusiasm to follow through their plans and overcome any challenges.

In short, there is a high likelihood that anybody that is self-driven or self-motivated will succeed in any task than those who need others to motivate them.

3. They Love Doing One Thing Until It Is Successful

Most billionaires and millionaires have one thing in common: investing all their energy and resources in one task and completing that task. They are not Jack-of-all-trades – masters of none.

For instance, Bill Gates is known for investing only in IT; Donald Trump is very rich today because he invested most of his money, energy, time and resources in real estates. Findings show that all the wealthy people in the world today have the same mentality of doing one thing at a time until they succeed in that thing.

To say it another way, they have a clear picture of the single task they want to achieve. And most importantly, they will not abandon their goals no matter the challenges they face.

4. They Are Highly Economical

Most successful people are very frugal with how they spend their energy, time, money, and resources. They like cutting their coats according to size, in contrast to the average people.

Successful know that if they don’t manage their time and resources wisely, they will not be able to achieve their goal.

Some people think successful people are very stingy. No, they are not. They just don’t like living beyond their means or doing what would put them in a perilous situation.

5. They Are Very Confident & Incurably Optimistic

Being optimistic and confident is another mindset that distinguishes the successful people from the average people. Successful individuals understand the power of being confident.

They don’t downplay their potentials and they are very ready to face their fears.

This is because they know that the more they are optimistic that they will succeed, the more their goals will likely be achieved. The average people, on the other hand, don’t know this. And even if don’t understand this simple psychological truth, they don’t believe it as they are always doubtful of their own potentials.

6. They Are Very Passionate About What They Do

Successful people are very passionate about their profession.

If you’ve met any successful people before, you will found out that they love want they do. You can easily perceive this in the way the talk about their profession and what their job means to them.

In fact, nothing makes them happier than waking up every day to do what they are passionate about. In contrast, the average people are pretenders and they don’t have the fervent desire, which the successful ones have, to accomplish a task.

The average individual work for money, do what the society wants them to do (not what they want to do for the society), and set low goals for themselves.

7. They Think A Lot About the Future

While the average people think about their immediate gains, the successful ones are very provident and they seek long-term solutions to any problem. In a word, successful believe so much in making decisions that will make them financially secure in the long-term.

8. They Are Risk-Takers

The average people are very complacent.

They believe in earning stable and fixed income and in playing it safe. On the other hand, successful people like taking calculated risks. Unlike the average people, the successful people know when and how to take risks.

They believe they need to break the rules – but not to break the law – to achieve their goals. What’s more, they are not as emotional as others when it comes to making critical decisions and achieving their objectives. In sum, they are ready to do what needs to be done in order for them to make it big.

9. They Give Their Very Best

Successful people are perfectionist. And that’s why athletes like Roger Federer, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, LeBron James, and Dustin Johnson keep improving year after year. Unlike the average people, these ambitious people are never satisfied with their performance.

They want to do the impossible and break records upon records. Their philosophy is all about avoiding mistakes at all costs. To successful people, a mentality of giving their very best and winning all the time is very intrinsic to their well-being and happiness.

Bottom Line

The secret of being successful is all about changing your mindset.

You don’t need a huge capital to start achieving your dreams. What you need is a positive mindset. And the above mindsets are some of those things that separate the wheat from the chaff and differentiates the successful from the average.

As such, if you want to become the best in anything you do, consider changing your mentality and start imbibing those behaviors, attitudes, idiosyncrasies, and philosophies of those who are successful.

It is very easy. Just give it a try and see the results for yourself.

6 Tips to Help You Improve As An Entrepreneur

People have different ways of looking at entrepreneurship, and quite rightly so.

This is what makes entrepreneurship so wonderful. Every single person comes with a lot of things that make it even better. That’s why there’s no single parameter to define success in entrepreneurship.

Most seasoned entrepreneurs agree that success in entrepreneurship must not be seen as an end destination. You better see it as a daily battle to bring the best out of you.

In every single aspect of managing a business, which ultimately sums up into your success as an entrepreneur.

6 Tips to Help You Improve As An Entrepreneur

Like all other things, there’s always a room for little improvement in entrepreneurship; rather, it’s one of its best features.

The moment you think it’s perfect, there’s no way further to improve in whatever you have as a product or service, mark it as the beginning of your end.

So, I have come up with certain simple but effective tips that can help you spruce up your entrepreneurial skills.

1. Use the Night to Plan the Day Ahead

Yeah, I know you are thinking; God, I knew this since my kindergarten.

Indeed, you knew it since a long time ago, but be totally honest with yourself for a minute and think when was the last time you ACTUALLY planned for your day ahead the night before.

Fact of the matter is that not only a few people really follow this little piece of advice poured through their ears since childhood. The majority of those few are truly successful at whatever they do, be it entrepreneurship or anything else.

Everybody is lined up with a few tasks for every single day.

It’s only with a solid plan that you can run through them optimally. One of the basic purposes of this plan is to prioritize what’s most important for you from what’s not. Sort out the matters that need our instant attention and lining up the rest accordingly.

Most of us are inclined to take up easier tasks happily than the harder ones, and this might be damaging your business in the worst possible manner.

So, get into the habit of determining your priorities honestly before you sleep. That way you can handle matters optimally when you get up the next day.

2. Start Getting up a Little Earlier

Though what time you choose to wake up daily is much of a personal choice, but a little tweak can improve your odds of being successful at entrepreneurship significantly.

Get up a little earlier than you usually do to squeeze out that YOU TIME, the all essential moments dedicated to yourself only, which can literally exalt your entrepreneurial skills in every manner.

Like a true entrepreneur, you need to invest in the most rewarding opportunity. Which is your own betterment in this case. Use this quite time to reflect, rearrange and revitalize yourself.

You can devote it for any positive activity like meditation, praying or a revitalizing physical workout.

After all, isn’t entrepreneurship all about facing challenges and hurdles without giving in to them, for which you need a healthy body and fresh mind, perhaps more than anything else?

3. Start Positive and Stay Positive

Once you inculcate the habit of waking up early, you would have much more time and opportunity to start your day positively. With ample time and a plan ready to guide you efficiently through the day ahead, you can start your day by feeding your mind with positive content.

Though some notable entrepreneurs suggest staying totally away from email and social media, I wouldn’t do that; instead, I suggest adding positivity to your day through some motivational content.

In this regard, there’s no specialized media, anything that can influence you positively will serve the purpose. Just make sure not to let negativity ruin your day even before it’s really started.

4. Value Your Time, Don’t Lose Focus

You know what’s the most deceiving way to ruin the productivity of your whole day?

Distractions!

Yes, and the worst part is that most of the time you aren’t even aware that how much of your valuable time will be lost dealing with those distractions. They can come from any person or any situation you might come across through the course of your day.

Even a little deviation from your plan to deal with someone else’s problem can result in you giving up the control of your day.

Being a better entrepreneur is about having a plan and sticking to it, which also means saying no at the right time. Of course, you don’t feel good about hurting people’s feelings, but as an entrepreneur, it’s one of your prime objectives to guard your interests first and foremost.

5. Move Forward One Step at a Time

What’s one of the most damaging myths of modern times that might be hurting your entrepreneurial aspirations?

Multitasking!

This might surprise you, as you have long been hearing that surviving and progressing in today’s corporate world is not possible without multitasking. However, the fact of the matter is that it’s proven wrong on a scientific basis.

Alternately, sticking to your plan is a much better approach, taking one task at a time. When you have only one task to complete, you can dedicate all your time, energy, focus and resources towards that to do it in the best possible manner.

It’s not like striving for perfection, but for excellence.

6. Keep it Balanced

There’s one area where entrepreneurship sucks the most, as far as I am concerned.

Want to know which one? Work life balance!

As entrepreneurs, we are too busy pushing harder than ever to reach our goals. But in doing so, we get ourselves extremely vulnerable to burnout. That’s why some of the world’s top entrepreneurs have established clear boundaries.

They know when they will stop work and turn to their personal lives.

It makes real sense, it’s much better to give work a little break rather than finding yourself totally unable and unwilling to do it at all after some time.

There is no way you can save yourself from a total burnout, if you are all work and no family time kind of a person. Sooner or later, burnout will hit you hard if you don’t set those work-life balance boundaries and respect them like most of the top entrepreneurs do.

In Conclusion

Remember, the best use of entrepreneurship in your life should be to bring peace and freedom along with all monitory benefits.

Developing these habits will help you improve remarkably in your entrepreneurship skills.

3 Keys to Guarantee Success Even When the Goal is New & Unfamiliar

3 Keys to Guarantee Success Even When the Goal is New and Unfamiliar

It can be scary to go after your big goals;

So scary that people have a tendency to pretend that they do not want anything that big or they keep it vague and on a pedestal instead of admitting fully what they want.

I have done this many times.

I refused to face up to the fact that I felt my goals were too big and too much for ‘little old me’ so I persisted in running around like a headless chicken, pretending to play full out to get the goals but really just appearing busy while expecting never to reach the goal.

3 Keys to Guarantee Success

How did I change that?

By looking at what I have made happen that, once upon a time, seemed way out of reach and then it became my norm. I distilled out a few keys to guarantee success at any venture.

1. Get Clear

No more “I want to make more money” goals – You have to be very clear and very specific about what you want.

It is easy to stay generic and broad with a goal because then you can claim to have reached it, if you even received a .0001% increase on your current situation.

For instance, the ‘I want more money’ goal can be met by getting an extra dime.

Would that be enough?  Is that what you really mean when you say “I want to make more money.”

Probably not! So, get specific. How much money do you want? What will that money be used for? People hardly ever want the big headliner goal – They want what the goal will give them. So get specific about what you want your goal to give you.

“I want a better relationship” can look like;

“I want someone who I can speak to every day without arguing all the time. I want someone who loves me and tells me regularly that they love me, I want someone that will go to the theatre with me and surprise me with weekend trips. I want someone who is also addicted to self-improvement and we enjoy going to conferences together.”

Maybe, you don’t even need an intimate relationship for what you really want but you only find that out when you allow yourself to get VERY clear on the goal beneath the goal.

2. Write Your Goal(s) Down Daily

If your goals, once clarified, are huge then writing them down once will not be enough to normalise it for you. And you have to normalise it, you have to get your brain/subconscious to believe that this big goal is the kind of thing that happens to you frequently.

And you do that by literally writing it down daily or even more frequently than once a day and while writing it down, get into the vibe of it.  Be the person that receives it. Write down who you choose to be to receive the goal and the things you do as well.

See yourself receiving the goal.

I think of where I live now – A few years ago, it would have felt way out of reach. But, after a period of time of deliberately writing down where I want to live and what it looks like, and the space within it and who I need to be in order to receive it; we now live in a great property that we would previously have thought was above us.

I cannot even imagine living where I was living just a few years ago – that seems too small, too cramped and to be honest, beneath me. This current property is my norm and I already feel myself growing out of it as I write about my 7 bedroom mansion by the beach.

Ultimately, your goal needs to come down off its pedestal because while it is up there, you will continually expect not to be able to get it and so you will always get what you expect.

Writing your goals down daily will go a long way in proving to yourself that it is absolutely possible to reach the goal. Because you are being very deliberate about it, you normalise the goals faster than passively waiting to feel elevated.

3. Decide

This is KEY, the absolute key to making things happen. You must decide that you are definitely going to receive everything you want. You must decide that you are getting on what I call, the narrow path, and you are not getting off until you reach your vision.

In fact, you are going to be the person who ALWAYS walks the narrow path.

The narrow path is the path that most people do not get on, because it’s scary and requires them to keep showing up, playing full out to reach the goal.

Most people want things but they are also content to live without them. They tolerate a ‘less than’ existence and even convince themselves that it is greedy and selfish to want it all. They expect not to get what they want. That is the broad path. Many people are stuck on that.

Why It's Important to Find Good Teachers & Mentors
And then there are the mavericks who decide that they do want an elevated experience of life. They decide very clearly what they want and they make an internal decision that IT IS HAPPENING.

They then get on the narrow path and every day, act as someone who KNOWS that their vision is a reality. Even when they get knocked down, they are not knocked out.

They may weep and wail at the knock-backs for a while but their mind is SET on the goal and they are never ever giving up. They have DECIDED to get it and so they are going to get it.

They become their own guarantee of success.

Summary

This is something I know to be true – Success is inevitable to the one who refuses to give up and so, these mavericks win. And the many look at them and think that they are simply lucky.

It is not luck – It is UNRELENTING DECISION!

And you need it to get what you want in any area of life.

Do you apply the above three keys to your life?

How Long Does It Take The Average Person To Make 6 Figures In Network Marketing?

This is a great question that many people have, but can’t get a straight answer to. If you ask your upline how long it took them to make 6 figures in Network Marketing, the answers will vary probably from 6 months to 4 years or more. But the best and most accurate answer is…
The AVERAGE person will NEVER make 6 figures in Network Marketing.
This is a simple system and a simple process, but it requires hard work and dedication – more work and dedication than the average person is willing to put in.

The Opposite of “Ordinary”

If you put in ordinary effort, devote an ordinary amount of time to personal development and education, and stick with Network Marketing for an ordinary amount of time, you will get ordinary results.
Considering that most people who sign on as distributors in Network Marketing never make a single sale or get a single sign-up, that is probably what you can expect as “ordinary”.
To make 6 figures in Network Marketing (or more), you need to go above and beyond “average” and “ordinary”. You need to be EXTRA-ordinary.
Only with extraordinary effort, extraordinary personal development and education, and extraordinary perseverance will you get extraordinary results. That is true not only in Network Marketing, but in anything you choose to do in life.

Do What No One Else Is Willing To Do

In order to make 6 figures in Network Marketing (or more), you need to learn skills that are worth 6 figures and then put those skills into action. Few people will be willing to learn the skills. And of the people who learn the skills, few of those will take action. But if you’re willing and able to do those two things, you will get the extraordinary results you are looking for.
Remember – In Network Marketing, if you are willing to do the work no one else is willing to do, you will earn for yourself a lifestyle that no one else has.
