7 Buying Triggers For Email Marketing

No matter if you're selling products or services offline or online, your customers need to know, like and trust us before they buy. As a business you're building relationships with people and ultimately asking them to buy. However, this is a little more complicated online. There is little, if any, direct face-face contact with a potential customer.

Email marketing is still considered the most effective online marketing strategy but we still have the same emotions, bonding patterns, and trust acquisition methods online as we do offline.

Here are 7 buying triggers that you can use in your email marketing campaigns to build trust and relationships with your audience and convert subscribers into buyers.

1. Friendship

You can start off your email campaign with a welcoming message when somebody joins your email list. Thank the person for signing up and if you offered a free download, make sure you provide the download link in that first email.

2. Expertise

On your download page for your free report or gift your subscribers receive after joining your email list you can show your authority and expertise in your niche.

3. Consistency

Your email marketing needs have a consistent message. Basically, each email you send should agree with all the others. If you discuss a thought or idea in one email, don't change your opinion a few emails later.

4. Reciprocity

The 'Law of Reciprocity' says that when you get something of value, either digital or physical, without having to pay for it in some way, you generally feel like you are obligated to repay that person in some way.

5. Contrast

Show why you're the ideal expert for them. You can softly show them why the way it 'has always been done' or the way 'others do it' isn't best for them. This trigger needs to be used very carefully. The worst thing you want to do is push them away by attacking their beliefs, rather than re-educating them on a better way.

6. Reason Why

You might show why your new or fresh approach is best for your audience. If possible, you can use the rational argument that it 'used to work' but explain why it no longer works.

7. Hope

Show them what their life (or business, or health, whatever your niche is) can look like after working with you. This could be done by showing a client testimonial of someone who has achieved the result you promise.

You can write different emails specifically for the purpose of using each trigger. The order of using the triggers doesn't matter. Once you have identified what you will use for each trigger, you can order and reschedule the triggers so that it makes sense in your email campaign.

The people who have willingly given you their email address are your hottest prospects. They have given you their email address because they want to hear more from you. But if you're sending them boring or useless content, they will soon unsubscribe.

Smart entrepreneurs have identified that more and more people are buying products ans services online. The internet offers of the most lucrative ways for entrepreneurs to reach optimal success and increase their bottom line.
But how do you start selling products or services on the internet if you don't have any products or services of your own?

Selling Products That Are In High Demand

The secret to making reliable, repeatable money selling products on the internet is to sell a product that is in high demand. You can sell any number of high demand products as an affiliate.
This is the process of selling other people's products or services and is known as online affiliate marketing. You're called an affiliate because you're connected to the person or business that has created the product but you don't own any part of that business.

From The Beginning

Affiliate marketing is a genuine and popular online business model. The first place to start is with your passions and interests. Why is this important? Well, for the most part, anything you do in business - whether it's an offline or an online business - needs one essential ingredient. That ingredient is your enthusiasm.

How Do You Find Products To Sell?

One of the great advantages of affiliate marketing is that you don't need to buy any stock, deal with payment systems or arrange product delivery. The product owner takes care of all of these issues.
Affiliate networks are best place to find products to sell. Signing up for these affiliate networks is easy. Once signed up, you can find products and services in just about every niche you can think of. You will also be able to see which products are selling the most and which products have the most affiliates.
Some of the more popular affiliate networks are:
  • Amazon Associates
  • ClickBank
  • PayDotCom
  • ShareASale
  • CJ Affiliate
  • JV Zoo

Check Out The Competition

Once you have chosen on your target audience and chosen the products or services you are going to sell, take some time to check out the competition. What you can do to make your website more unique and engaging? Why should people buy from you and not your competitors?

Selling Other People's Products On Your Website

You can sell other people's products as an affiliate without a website. But if you want to make the most out of affiliate marketing and earn more from selling products online, I would recommend that you have your own website.
Setting up a website isn't as difficult as you might think, and there are many easy to use website platforms that can get you online quickly and easily.
Companies are happy to pay commissions to people just like you, in return for selling their products and services. You have the potential to make a great income when you choose the right niche, stay committed, and understand your audience.

How Can I Generate Leads For My Business?

A lead is somebody who has, by some means, expressed interest in something you have to offer for sale. You're going to have many more leads than prospects, and many more prospects than customers. You need to be constantly generating more business leads in the hopes of turning those leads into customers.

Here are 5 proven ways to generate more leads for your business.

1. Regularly Publish Content On Your Website

Putting information to your blog or website frequently, and on a regular schedule, boosts your chances of your website being ranked by the search engines and connecting with your audience. Remember that every bit of content for your leads needs to be checked for grammar, clarity, and format. You want the information you provide to represent the type of products and services you offer. If you make silly mistakes, it will reflect back onto your business.

2. Host A Webinar

Hosting a webinar is a great way for generating more business leads. A webinar is a live web-based video or audio conference that connects the host of the webinar to an audience. It's an easy way to introduce yourself your business, and your unique personality to your prospects. And it doesn't have to cost any money. YouTube Live, Google Hangouts and other websites and software suites offer free webinar services.

3. Record Helpful Videos

Video "connects" with your target market much better than text-based content. Videos are quick and easy to create and you don't even need to appear on camera if you don't want to. There are many video sharing sites that draw in millions of frequent users. YouTube and Vimeo are just two of the many places where you can host videos where you solve real problems in the lives of your prospects.

4. Answer Questions on Q & A Sites

People online go to websites like Quora, Yahoo Answers and WikiAnswers to ask questions about almost every topic. This is a way to prove yourself as an informed leader in your field. The search engines on these websites let you to focus on a specific question or topic, and when people see your answers, you can guide them back to your website.

5. Write An eBook

It's not difficult to write an eBook and you can offer it for free in return for a prospect's email address. Deciding upon an eBook topic is important. If you have existing clients, what questions do they keep asking? Check out the questions on industry related forums and Facebook groups. What are people asking for help with? If you provide the answer in your eBook, your prospects will want it.

Affiliate Marketing: Fuel Your Passion

"Tell me the secret to being a successful affiliate marketer!" I get this type of email on occasion. I always dutifully read the email and send a polite reply. In the reply email I always try to stress the following points:

There are no secrets in affiliate marketing! I don't care what the guru's tell you. Being successful in affiliate marketing isn't a matter of luck, or the result of some type of magical wizardry. Being successful in affiliate marketing involves knowing the ingredients that makes other affiliate marketers successful. One of the common threads that I have observed in all successful affiliate marketers is their ATTITUDE toward their affiliate marketing business. Jim Martell, Rosalind Gardner, Jim Edwards, Allan Gardyne and many other highly successful affiliate marketers, that you may not have even heard of, all LOVE affiliate marketing. They have the passion a burning desire to be successful in their affiliate marketing endeavors.

Passion for affiliate marketing has to be the one key ingredient to achieving success, not only in affiliate marketing, but in any pursuit you undertake in life. Without a passion for your affiliate business, you are traveling down the road to failure. Your passion is what will keep you moving forward one tiny step at a time when your affiliate marketing business is going through difficult and trying times. That same passion will be the key factor in ultimately moving your affiliate marketing business toward the rewards of financial success!

Do you have this type of passion? I don't know. Only you can answer that. I do know that without belief, interest, and determination you will never develop the passion that pushes other successful affiliate marketers to extreme heights of affiliate marketing success.

Let's take a look at some of the traits that will fuel your passion to be successful in affiliate marketing:

Belief

Do you believe in the opportunity you have to be successful with affiliate marketing programs? If you don't, then you need to start right now. You MUST believe that you will be successful in your affiliate marketing efforts. How do you get this belief? Simple, do some research on affiliate marketing. You will find that many ordinary people, like you, can and are doing quite well in the world of affiliate marketing. Some people who were once in the same position you are in right now are earning thousands of dollars a month through their affiliate program marketing efforts. Don't be fooled into thinking that only the Cream of the Crop, the Super Affiliates with their names plastered all over the internet are the only ones making money with affiliate marketing. That isn't the case. Many people you have never heard of are making a very nice income from affiliate marketing; they just choose not to attract attention to themselves.

What is your goal for your affiliate marketing business? Maybe you can't answer that right now. Do your research. Set a reasonable goal for this month. Write it down. Do everything in your power to make that goal a reality. Once you've achieved that goal, move on to your next goal. You have to crawl before you can walk, walk before you can run, eventually you will be off and running. Affiliate marketing is a marathon, it isn't a sprint. Pace yourself. These frustrating days you may be experiencing now will soon be a distant memory. BELIEVE that you will be successful. It can be done. It isn't going to be easy, but then again anything worth having is going to take time and effort.

Interest

As an affiliate marketer you have to have a genuine interest in the merchant products that you are promoting to your prospects. To me, it means you should own and use these products. Why? You can give your prospects a fair and honest evaluative review of the product or service. Point out the features that make this particular product unique. Stress the benefits that your prospective customer will receive by using this product or service. The benefits that you have derived are probably some of the same benefits that your prospects are looking for. They need validation!

Think of it this way. If you have a genuine interest in the product and service you are promoting and you own and use the product for your own benefit, you have the advantage of putting yourself in the shoes of your prospective customers. You will become acutely more aware of their needs and are in a much better position to answer those needs.

You can truthfully share your interest in the product and experiences with the product. Even the most casual and curious browsers will be attracted to your product because you wrote a review or gave a testimony to a product you already own and use! Honest reviews and powerful testimonies about the benefits of a product or service are two of the most powerful tools that you have in your affiliate marketing arsenal. Use them often and use them wisely. Remember, your credibility is at stake!

Determination

Be Determined! You must set your chin and be determined to succeed in your affiliate marketing business. I am a huge College and Pro football fan. I am firmly convinced that the Pittsburgh Steelers are the world champions today because of the determination of their head coach, Bill Cowher. He willed that team to victory throughout the playoffs and the Super Bowl. He was not daunted by several previous setbacks in AFC championship games. He found new and better ways of getting the job done. Today he is a world champion.

You can do the same with your affiliate marketing business. You cannot get too high or too low in the world of affiliate marketing. Don't let a few setbacks get you down. Chalk each set back up to a lesson learned. Go back and rework your idea or plan. Find another way of approaching a problem. Find new and better ways of promoting and pre-selling your affiliate products.

When belief, interest and determination are present in your affiliate marketing business your passion for affiliate marketing and the goods and services you are promoting will shine brightly. All of your prospects will be able to see and feel your passion. Find your passion and you will have captured the most highly sought factor for your success in the world of affiliate marketing

10 Things You Didn't Know About Affiliate Marketing

Most people have heard of affiliate marketing, even if they haven't actually started doing it. Affiliate marketing is basically referring people to various products and services around the internet. For each sale you generate through your affiliate link, you earn a commission. The size of the commission depends on the products themselves, who is selling them and the percentage offered by the seller to the affiliate.

But what is actually involved in affiliate marketing? What do affiliates do on a daily basis? How do they earn money and how do they learn what to do?

1 An Example Of A Successful Website

There's several ways of marketing products and services online. Many affiliates create a blog first and sell products and services through their blog. Martin Lewis has a very successful website called moneysavingexpert.com. This is also an affiliate website. By creating content and helping people decide which service to use: which credit card offers to choose, the best interest rate etc. moneysavingexpert.com makes money by sending website visitors to various offers. If a sale is made through this website, the link this credited to it and a commission is made. By creating content, offering value and helping people make sensible choices, the website has built a reputation and become more prevalent over time. Google ranks the site highly in the search engines and thousands of people use it to make purchasing decisions every day.

2 How Can I Get Started As An Affiliate?

Affiliate marketing is huge. There are thousands of people already making their main source of income from the internet. To get started as an affiliate you need to learn some basic strategies and build various methods of generating traffic from the internet to those offers. A lot of affiliates start with a simple blog. Many travelers 'blog' about their travels. If you don't have a passion or interest to blog about, you can start by following an online course which will help. See my bio for more info on this.

3 How Long Does It Take To Make A Living?

Some people go into affiliate marketing with the intention of creating a second income. Some people want to make big money. Depending on how much time you can dedicate to your affiliate business, and how dedicated you are to it, is a big factor in determining your results. Results vary from person to person. With a large advertising budget and the right business model, some affiliates have replaced their living in 6-12 months. For others it can take years before it replaces their existing income. Depending on your approach, advertising budget, and business model, it can take between 3 months and several years to build it to a point where it can replace an existing income.

4 Can Anyone Do It?

One of the great things about affiliate marketing is that the technology is now available to allow anyone to build their own online business. As long as you are prepared to learn and implement that knowledge, anyone who can operate an email, can use online platforms and tools to build their own online business. The main thing you need is the desire to learn. Affiliate marketing isn't for everyone though. It does take a lot of hard work and it can take years before you are rewarded financially.

5 What Are The Pitfalls Of An Affiliate Business?

You need to dedicate some time to your affiliate business for it to work for the long term. Some people go into affiliate marketing thinking it is some magic pill which will pay them instantly in cash. Much like a job you can't expect to get out more than you put in. Affiliate marketing is performance related. This means you don't get paid unless you can successfully sell products and services online. If you don't know what you are doing it can take years to do this. You can't be a dabbler and expect to earn the big money. The big earnings are created over years of hard work. Don't expect to achieve this with only a small amount of input.

6 What Are The Best Things About Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing offers an incredible amount of flexibility and freedom. You can work an affiliate business from anywhere in the world providing you have a laptop and an internet connection. You can choose your own hours and build it up around existing work. Many people come into affiliate marketing because it offers this kind of flexibility. They can choose their priorities in life: spend more time with family, choose your working hours, travel and work abroad. No more commuting to work or working long hours for a boss you don't like.

Affiliate marketing also offers incredible scalability. A business which is local is always limited to the people who can travel to that business. An online business can be global. Using digital products in conjunction with a global reach, you can scale using tools and software to reach thousands of people through digital technology. By using automation much of the work involved with an online business can be pre-built. By building automation into the business model, you can focus your activities on reaching a larger audience through content creation and paid advertising.

7 Why Am I Struggling With My Affiliate Business?

A lot of people struggle with their affiliate businesses. This can be for a number of reasons. Firstly building up an affiliate business takes time. You need to dedicate a lot of time to an affiliate business in the first place. Only when you reach a 'tipping point' do you really start to see your progress. Many affiliates simply don't realise how much work is involved. They underestimate how much time they need to dedicate to their online business to make it work.
Paid advertising can allow you to grow your affiliate business quickly. But it costs money and you need the right products too. You can't advertise small value items with paid advertising. You won't generate enough profit to cover your advertising costs. You need a range of products and an email list to advertise through.
Content marketing takes much longer to work, depending on your chosen area of business. If you find an untapped niche to market your blog in, you can make some fast progress. However, with a competitive niche you will struggle to get noticed above all the other content which you will have to compete with. There's several reasons why you might struggle. The main one is lack of knowledge. Get the right education first and your affiliate business will move much faster.

8 What's The Best Affiliate Model To Use?

There are many different affiliate models, all offering something different to suit the individual. Some affiliates target search traffic and aim to get their content found on Google. Some create their own products and sell them directly to customers. However, having a range of products which you can sell over and over to existing customers is a great model for long term success. Selling a single item online is limited. It means you can only make one commission from each sale. By choosing membership products to promote which also offer back end sales and a built in sales team, you can benefit from monthly commissions and up-sell commissions for the lifetime of any given customer. Selling membership products is definitely a game changer when it come to affiliate marketing because you make an income from each customer, rather than a single commission. But a good model to choose is one in which you have a passion for and can keep doing for the long term. Choosing products which you have no interest in is a short sighted plan. Think about what you would like to do online to generate an income. If you choose to go with your passion, your business will last much longer, and be more successful.

9 Can I Just Sell My Own Products?

Many affiliates create their own products to sell online. However, when you are starting out it is a good idea to learn the basics of marketing first. That way you can start earning more quickly from your affiliate business. I spent a long time creating my own products when I first discovered affiliate marketing. But I didn't sell anything because of a couple of reasons. Firstly I didn't research whether my products would have a big enough demand. Secondly I didn't know how to market them. By joining a program which teaches you how to market products first, you can start making money more quickly. Don't waste time creating products if you don't know how to sell them. Marketing is a much more important skill for making money online. Once you know this skill, you can then apply it later when marketing your own products and services. Also your own products will be limited in range. By using an existing product range, you can benefit from products which are already selling. You can choose a program which offers high ticket commission, monthly memberships, back end sales and a built in sales team. Building your own products which offers all of these things not a possibility for most people when starting out.

10 What's The Point Of Affiliate Marketing?

Some people struggle with the concept of affiliate marketing. They think it sounds too 'salesy'. When I understood affiliate marketing I immediately found it appealing simply because I needed a flexible way to work around my contract work. I had to drop what I was doing at a moments notice if the phone went. This meant other jobs were awkward to juggle around. No-one wants to employ a 'flaky' employee. I wanted to work from my laptop and affiliate marketing gave me that opportunity. For many people this is the reason why they choose affiliate marketing. They can earn an income from their laptop, choose their working hours and not have a boss or place of employment. You don't have to sell directly to anyone or even talk to a customer. There is no stock to hold. Added to this, the scalability of affiliate marketing which lets you scale up to a global audience and deliver products on autopilot, makes it the best flexible business of the future.

So What Motivates You?

I have always been fascinated with what makes people tick! Why one manager / leader, seems to keep the team humming and on track, whilst another seems to demoralise and derail it. Whilst Personality and personal preferences can heavily influence motivation and organisational growth, intentional strategies and workplace culture is the key to long-term, sustainable growth in teams.

There is no "one size fits all" when motivating individuals. What I deem as a motivating influence, may not be important to you; however, we all require some level of motivation. Even highly motivated people need stimulus along the journey.

What and how to provide that stimulus, depends on having more than a working knowledge of your people. Good leaders have a genuine interest in each member of the team, and provide tailor-made motivation consistent with each ones needs and desires.

With over 35 years of investment into non profit organisations, I can assure you that the key factors used in motivating corporate employees, aren't always transferable. Members of none profit organisations often invest their skills, talents and labour for free. Their talents, treasure and time are invested into a vision or cause without specific recompense. Motivating such individuals are factors of a qualitative nature rather than quantitative.

The key factor in motivating others is to "influence behaviour". Achieving organisational goals are dependent on mobilising individuals to achieve pre-determined and strategic outcomes. The longevity of such, is dependent on the retention and inspiration (outworked via motivation) which team members show.

So what motivates you?

There is no right or wrong motivator, as we must keep in mind that the reason for providing motivation is to influence behaviour. These changes in behaviour serve a common purpose or organisational outcome. As mentioned earlier, none profit organisations provide an ethos, belief or objective which is central to its cause. Providing tangible evidence of advancement, positive change and outcomes are the lifeblood to motivating its people.

Here are some key motivators which influence behaviour.

Reward

Providing a means of reward or incentive is perhaps the earliest form of motivation we experience. As a child, we are exposed to the "carrot and the stick" mentality. Behave in a certain way and reward is ours. "Eat all your veggies and you can have desert". "Go straight to sleep and if you're good, I will buy you that toy". As an adult, the means are a little more refined but the methodology is the same. Hit the targets and you get a bonus, pay rise, promotion etc.

Outcomes

A key motivation to many, is the visible sign of completion. Many of us are motivated by "seeing" the end result achieved. Finalising goals and outcomes are a satisfying reward and sense of personal and corporate accomplishment. Taking a project to completion is immensely satisfying and perhaps one of my favourite motivators. Celebrating completion is reward for many, and regardless of how that is outworked, it's motivating influence is immense.

Positional - Influence

Leaders have a desire to influence, and often the position one holds provides opportunity for such. Whilst some of the greatest influences in history have done so without a recognised position, most of us still respond to title rather than function. Influence can be achieved in many ways, it is sufficient in this article to acknowledge that the need to control the behaviour of others is often achieved through the medium of position. Those who perceive such a medium as an hierarchical power base, are often motivated to progress through and by it.

Personal Growth

Training and development serves several objectives.

It ensures organisational consistency and purpose
It produces an environment for personal development and a recruitment base, which can impart organisational vision and values.
It provides a stringent measurement for quality control and strategic timeframes.
It harnesses talent and assimilates it into organisational growth and development for the foreseeable future.
Individuals with a desire to receive ongoing training in specific skills, have a passion to future proof their careers, and will often forgo other motivating factors in order to grow personally.

Belonging

Being a part of something larger than oneself, is a key factor in choosing which organisation gets out investment. Without doubt, one of the greatest motivators within none profit organisations is a sense of belonging. Being a recognisable part of the big picture and playing ones part is a significant motivator to many. It's not an issue of whether people will invest their skills and talents, but where. Providing an environment to belong goes way beyond other motivators.

Fear

As politically correct as the world is today, fear is still used to control behaviour and outcomes. I often encounter such methods, where heavy tactics are used to increase input and maximise effort from workers. Fear in itself is insufficient to control, for without the threat of consequences it is a shallow motivator. Failed objectives, poor productivity or results, outsourcing, turn down in the economy, redundancies, termination, salary reductions, and demotion are all used to motivate change in behaviour.

Love

Last but far from being least, love is powerful. The Greeks defined the term love in four ways:

Agápe, Éros, Philia, Storge

Whichever expression one experiences love, its motivation is expressed in powerful ways. Love is not limited to emotion, but action. When one "acts" with genuine concern or love for another, it motivates all manner of loyalty and behavioural change.

We are more responsive to love in action than words.

People will "go the extra mile", support, invest, uphold, protect and even fight for the family vision because of it. Loyalty that is expressed in the loving appreciation of another's efforts is a compilation of all other forms of motivation.

Genuine consideration for those around us, is the most primal yet powerful form of motivation. Those motivated by it, will inspire in others a similar motivation. When all other motivators are ineffectual, love has the capacity to build hope, confidence and assurance in the future. It may not change the company's bottom line, but it will change our greatest resource. People!

The Top 4 Mindsets That Will Sabotage Your Success

Have you ever met someone that has an amazing talent, but instead of capitalizing on it, they rather live a mediocre life working a boring, unfulfilling 9-5 job?
Can you imagine a better ball player than Jordan, a better actress than Kathy Bates, a better motivator than Tony Robbins, a better cook than Paula Dean or a better speaker than Oprah? Of course you can!
Talented and gifted people are everywhere! Unfortunately, these are the same people who choose not to share their talents with the world simply because they don't believe in themselves, believe in their talents or believe that they are capable of success. These same beliefs come from a sabotaging mindset that holds many people back from realizing their true potential and achieving unimaginable success.
Many of us don't believe that dreams can come true so we don't chase them. Instead, we just conform and accept life the way it is.
How sad is that?
When I was working in 'cubicle nation', I was surrounded by people who had amazing gifts but did absolutely nothing with them. Instead, they rather waste their energy complaining about how unfair life is and how much they hate their jobs.
Is that any kind of way to live? I think not!
So, if you have ever wondered why success happens to others and not you, then consider if you have one or more of the following sabotaging mindsets:

The Limitations Mindset

This is one of the worst mindsets to have. This mindset is like a stop sign. Every time there is an opportunity to grow in some way, you subconsciously stop yourself from moving forward. Have you ever heard someone proclaim, "The sky is the limit?" Well, this is them saying that there is no limit to their success or what they can achieve. What a powerful way to think! People with a limitations mindset believe there is a limit to everything; the amount of people they can serve, the amount of money they can make, the level of success they can achieve, etc. They believe that there is a limit to life and this just isn't true. Your life is not a credit card, it's an opportunity.

The Blaming Mindset

I think we all have come across those who blame any and everybody for where they are in life. They blame their lack of success on their childhood, a dysfunctional parent, their environment, their friends, etc. The list can go on and on. You see, people with this type of mindset will ALWAYS find something or someone to blame for THEIR actions and where THEY are in their lives. Having this type of mindset will prevent you from holding yourself accountable. If you don't hold yourself accountable, then you can't focus on improving, progressing, growing or moving forward. Have you ever noticed that people with this mindset also seem to go with the flow of things? They don't know what they are doing from one day to the next and always appear uptight with a chip on their shoulder. That's because they are stuck in a rut of blaming and not claiming. Claim success today and leave the blames behind. Please repeat after me, "No one has control over my life but me!"

The Entitlement Mindset

First of all, as an adult, you are not entitled to anything. This is another mindset that will get you every time. Usually, individuals with this mindset either grew up with too little or too much and they feel that the world owes them. These individuals sincerely feel that they are entitled to have whatever it is they want simply because they are them! Forget about hard work, sacrifice and setting and achieving goals. They want what they want when they want it and will find the shortest way possible to get it. Yes, individuals with this mindset often look for shortcuts to success and in life. You can find them "marrying rich", stealing from others or lying their way to the top. Not only is this a sabotaging mindset, but it can get you into a lot of trouble, not to mention the greed and selfishness that comes with it. I'm sure you have heard about individuals who have achieved success, just to lose it because they got greedy. If you have this mindset, get rid of it immediately! Choose a humbled mindset instead.

The Complaining Mindset

Oh Lawd! Boy, do I despise a complainer. Okay, we all do it, but some of us are obsessive complainers.
PLEASE NOTE: People who are always complaining will ALWAYS attract what they are complaining about! If you don't like your job, quit! If you don't like where you live, move! If you don't like where your business is at, reevaluate and do something different! But, don't complain! Complaining keeps you focused on the problem and not the solution. If you are always focused on the problem, it will always be there. I use to work with someone who would complain about our clients. She would often ask, "Why am I always getting the difficult ones?" Well, because you are always talking about them! When you complain you attract what you DON'T want. Don't be a complainer, be a problem solver instead.

In conclusion, if you have recognized yourself in any of the above sabotaging mindsets; please consider an alternative mindset to adopt instead. It can be done, trust me!

Top Three Actionable Ways to Make Passive Income Online in 2017 and Beyond!

The major problem today is that there are many self-proclaimed gurus out there developing courses or teaching people “how to make money online”, with a goal of just getting your money.

These people are notorious for making many courses without putting in much effort because they know how to market them. So we take their courses not knowing their true intentions, and then we fail because their methods are untested which brings us a destroyed sense of confidence.

We then go on believing “I cannot do this,” which is hard to recover from.

I am here to stop this trend. There is a ton of information out there that is inaccurate or inadequate. However the three businesses I will explain are solid and tested by myself. I am only sharing these three business models because they have made me thousands a month in profit since I was 19 years old.

What Is Passive Income?

Passive income is income resulting from cash flow received on a regular basis, requiring minimal to no effort by the recipient to maintain it. – Wikipedia
Passive income only requires your attention at the beginning. At the start, you need to be working hard for months with the aim of developing a system of automation in your business. After everything is set up and running great with employees taking care of the day to day – you have created a source of passive income.

2017 is possibly the best time to get involved online. With the advent of Internet.org, billions of people will be online within the next five years, giving you the time to experience running your own online businesses before the huge wave hits. So what is the formula that everyone who wants to achieve passive income needs to know?

Creation → Experimentation → Elimination → Delegation → Automation

Creation: The first part of any business is creating it. We need to create a business and develop a model that actually makes an impact, accrues revenue, and has the potential to scale.

Experimentation: You will not find the perfect model or strategy right away. You will need to mix and match different ideas to find the one that fits your business.

Elimination: Once you have the business up and running, you can start to look where you can eliminate costs, products, and anything that is not generating the right results. Get rid of the bad eggs.

Delegation: Once everything has been eliminated, you are left with a model to work with. You understand the different parts of your business and are ready to start hiring virtual assistants or employees. You only give them jobs that are necessary to keep the business afloat and moving forward. You can delegate as much or as little as you want.

Automation: The last step in developing a truly passive income model. You bring in a manager to take over all of the managerial and communication activities in your business. They only report to you when asked or when a problem arises. After a while, they will be able to handle the daily and monthly issues and will report to you once in a great while or contact you on a weekly/monthly basis. Whatever you two discuss.

After you go through all the above steps, you can start creating another business.

But before you start your own business, you first need to train your mind. And the best way to do this is by actively learning from experts every single day. That is why I am recommending Tai Lopez’s 67 Steps.

It will transform your mindset from one of scarcity to one of abundance. After taking his course and watching a video every day, I thought and acted differently. (I took this course while starting my kindle business).

Now that you understand passive income and the importance of having the right mindset, let’s dive into the three businesses.

Kindle Publishing

As I look back on my journey of becoming an entrepreneur, kindle publishing was the first time I made serious money. I would wager almost any bet (if I gambled) that kindle publishing is the absolute easiest way to make money online in 2017. It has a low upfront cost and you can scale it as fast as you please. Here is the best course for publishing.

Kindle Money Mastery

It is the bible of kindle courses and the only one you should take.

I am sure some of you have heard of kindle publishing before, but not its business model. How can you possibly scale writing books and selling them on Amazon.com? Simple.

You do not need to write the books, descriptions or make the cover. Seems too good to be true? It’s not. This business is perfect if you have never done any sort of Internet marketing before. Why?

It will teach you the tools of automation.
It will teach you how to hire, train and manage virtual assistants.
It will give you the fundamental skills on how to scale a small operation into a big, six-figure-a-year business.
It costs very little to get started.

So how does this process work? Well, first you will need to make an Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) account. From there, you will need to do some niche research and find some topics that are hot on amazon right now. You’ll be looking for trends, untapped markets or evergreen niches.

The next thing you will need to do is go to UpWork.com and find a writer to write your book for you. I know one of the hardest things for a new entrepreneur to do is outsource. We all want to save money or do it ourselves because we believe no other person is competent. But in reality, our time is more valuable in this business if we outsource. By outsourcing the writing, designing and marketing we are free to look at the big picture and scale up.

On UpWork.com, writers are readily available to write any niche’s content for you and will work for as little as $1 per 100 words. After your book is written, it’s time for you to order a cover on either UpWork.com or Fiverr.com. Fiverr is usually cheaper, but it is all about finding the best designer. Lastly, you will have to either have your writer or yourself (I recommend the writer because they wrote it), make the description for you.

Voila! You have a ready-made book; now all you need to do is publish it and start getting some reviews so your book will rank high and become a true passive income stream.

For reviews, you will need to do “book swaps” – you buy other people’s book for 99 cents and they buy yours. Very simple. After you understand the whole process of Kindle Publishing, you can hire VAs to do all of this for you.kindle money mastery review

This is the best scalable business to get started online in 2017. Kindle Publishing is only growing. Get in the game, even with one book. By the way, I am not calling myself an expert in this business, but I do make six figures with this business alone.

If you want a more in-depth course that explains the exact process and breaks it down step by step, I recommend Kindle Money Mastery. It is the course I studied to get where I am today. Just follow the steps in that course. The course is almost foolproof.

P.S. Stefan (who made the course) just released version 2.0 filled with all of new and enlightening strategies to beat the competition.

Selling Physical Products on Amazon.com

Why another Amazon-based business? Because Amazon is consistently ranked the number one e-commerce platform in the world and it is growing at a crazy pace.

I always say that kindle publishing is the way to go when you are first starting out. But once you are more experienced with Internet marketing and have the cash flow (maybe from publishing), you can enter physical products.

The physical product business may be the most uncomfortable business to start due to the learning curve, but it is the most lucrative. There have been many stories of people going from no income online to six or even seven figures in one year. Amazon has one of the largest customer bases in the world and these customers are buyers.

I recommend publishing first to get yourself acquainted with selling on Amazon and its system, but after that, go for it.

So what is the basic process of selling on Amazon or having your own online store? Well, first you need to pick a niche. You should have 3 – 5 products in mind so that scaling is a faster process than just sitting around after your first product is selling.

Next, you should come up with a brand name that resonates with your audience. After you have picked a brand name, you will start sourcing samples of your first product and pick the suppliers you want to use for your business.

Once you have found a product, it is time to order that product, usually around 500 – 1500 units for your first order. The more units you order, the lower your cost per unit will be. But first you want to test the product and see how it does in the market which is why you will order a low quantity. Now you are probably thinking, once I get the inventory, how am I going to ship, market, and store my inventory?

You do not need to do any of that! Using Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA), you can store all your products in their warehouses across the world and they will handle inventory, shipping, returns, and even basic marketing!

All you need to do is order more inventory, work on brand awareness, drive outside traffic, and build your email list. The only downside is that it is costly to start. You will need about 5k to start and do well. Anything less and it will tough, but not impossible.

Niche Website Creation

This business is more for those who have experience in Internet marketing. So what is niche website creation? Basically, it is creating a website around a particular theme and selling affiliate products. That’s it.

It doesn’t sound like a lot of work, but it truly is. I recommend right at the beginning to tackle publishing to get your feet wet and after a few months or a year of practice, dive into this type of business. Now that I have said what I needed to say, I will give you an almost exact process on how this business works and why it is truly great.

Find an affiliate product to sell.
Buy a domain that has to do with your niche.
Set up a lead page to get their emails (leadpages.com).
Once you have their email, start sending them good content with good copy to sell your product(s).
Drive traffic through Google, Facebook, and YouTube ads to your lead page (opt-in page).
Over time, just keep pushing traffic towards your opt-in page and you are good to go.

Now, this is a great business model and good for all intermediate Internet marketers. How is it scalable? Just make more sites and find different products to promote! Or promote the same product over a few different sites to diversify your traffic.

Can you do even more with this model? Yes! You can create your own product.  This is where the big money lies.

You can outsource this part and then sell it for a full 100% commission. Do not get me wrong, It takes work. But since you are reading this, I already know you have what it takes. The lazy sheep of the world would never have read up until this point. That is a fact.

So if you are ready to attack affiliate marketing and make hundreds of thousands of dollars in your sleep, find the right course. Do your research.

Take Action Now!

This isn’t a feel-good article, one where you feel good but take no action. I’ve written this because I get questions daily on how I make money online. So what is your next step?

Your next step is to start with one of these businesses today. Start doing extra research on your own and take control of your life. Another key ingredient to success is that you should not spread your focus thin. Focus on one business until you have reached success.

They all work, so there is no excuse. There must have been one model that intrigued you, so focus only on that business and learn everything you can. Success doesn’t wait for procrastinators. Drop all your time wasting activities and focus.

Whether it’s on kindle publishing, selling physical products on Amazon or developing niche sites, the choice is up to you!

It is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to be successful.

It will not be comfortable and you will have that innate urge to stop trying and go back to living for temporary pleasure instead of everlasting success. Your circumstances are not you, your excuses are not you – they are all malleable and can change in second if you want them to.

And if you ever feel like you are overwhelmed or that you want to give up, I want to stress to you how powerful Tai Lopez’s 67 Steps are for you to develop a lion mindset! It will transform your mindset like never before and keep you on track with his daily videos.

All you have to do is take action now!

4 Powerful Ways To Stay Motivated And Reach Your Goals Through Tough Times

Have you ever gotten excited about your New Year’s resolutions only to have them fizzle out mere weeks after? This is a common enough story and we’ve all been there. When the “fresh start effect” fades away, your determination falters and the first bump on the road often signals the end of the journey.
So, what can we do to keep our motivation high for the longer run? Here are 4 great ways to stay motivated.

Listen to your heart

If you want to feel motivated in the long term, choose a goal with your heart. When an objective comes from your heart, it will be easier to stick with it through tough times. You will make sacrifices more readily when it is clear what you are making them for.
Dig inside yourself and get in touch with the vision that you have behind your goal. If your objective is to eat healthy or exercise, what is your underlying vision? Maybe a vision of yourself in good health, fit, slim and happy.
Whatever that vision is, take a moment to visualize the person you aspire to build. It will help you see meaning in everything you do.
For example, why would you put your sneakers on and go for a run instead of watching a TV series? The sofa might be more tempting than the effort. However, if you go back to your vision, the choice will come effortlessly.
Go after goals which are genuinely yours and you will find plenty of motivation to make them happen.

Align your habits with your long-term goals

One day, I checked my own goals and tried to determine what the difference was between those that I achieved easily and those I seemed to struggled with. And I found a clear pattern.
I have a few long-term goals, like maintaining a certain weight or getting a new degree before I reach 40. I realized that I do well with the first one, less so with the second one.
Why do I seem to have a two-speed motivation?
I’m not less motivated in getting a new degree. The problem is that I have nowhere to start from. My weight goal, on the other hand, is linked to short-term goals or habits, such as eating 5 servings of fruits or vegetables per day, eating fish twice a week and exercising at least four times a week. These daily and weekly habits help me reach my long-term objective.
I haven’t set any corresponding habit for my degree goal. And I’m not going to achieve it just by looking at it…
The secret of success lies in the things we do regularly, like our daily and weekly habits. These habits must be aligned with the vision we have.
Having a vision is not enough. It must be translated into small daily steps. If we only have a vision or a long-term goal, we will feel overwhelmed by the mission and we won’t know where to start from.
Sometimes, it’s the other way round and we struggle to ingrain new habits. In that case, the long-term goal may be missing. For example, it’s much easier to find the motivation to go for a run when you have registered for a race or when you aim at getting your beach body back in time for the summer season!
The alignment between habits and a long-term vision works both ways. Having habits that are aligned to a long-term objective gives us the motivation to reach the end goal and sustain good habits.
When you struggle with one of your goals, check whether it’s a habit or a long-term goal. If it’s a habit, make sure that you have a corresponding vision. Why do you want to ingrain this habit?
If it’s a long-term goal that you struggle with, try and set up a daily or weekly habit that will help you get there.

Reward yourself

We all know that we are more motivated to do something when there is a reward at stake. The pleasure induced by a reward reinforces the activity which helped get the reward. This is called extrinsic motivation. It can be helpful to kick-start the process when intrinsic motivation is a bit low.
A simple way to introduce rewards is to plan/get/offer the rewards yourself. You need to set the bar properly. You need to do a decent effort to get it.
It can’t be too difficult or you may end up feeling discouraged. It can’t be too easy or you’ll get the reward without the need for motivation.
You also need to define a goal or reward system that makes sense. Eating junk food for a week if you manage to lose three kilos is probably not the best choice! Ideally, the reward and the effort should be somehow aligned. This will help create a virtuous circle.
Buying a smaller dress when you lose a few kilos and getting a massage after a few weeks of physical training are good examples. These rewards will help you build milestones on your path to a better you. They’ll become the symbols of your positive behavior change.

Reassess your goals over time

We can also keep motivated to reach our goals by changing goals!
Goals must be alive and reassessed regularly. It’s important to realize that because monotony is a big motivation killer.
When we set a new goal, we generally improve quite rapidly at the beginning. If you start exercising two or three times a week, you’ll be able to notice progress session after session. Then, it’ll get harder to improve and the progression curve gets less steep. This can be a little demotivating.
We can introduce excitement by having a few stable goals combined with some temporary ones. I want to lose weight, wake up early, exercise and read regularly. These are my core goals which I’m keeping for the long run. In addition to these core goals, I’ll try other things, such as journaling for a month, then learning chess, or cooking, etc.
You may sometimes adjust your goals down. If one of my goals is to play the guitar for 2 hours a week while I barely manage to play more than 30 minutes for a few weeks in a row, I may lose my motivation to eventually hit the target. In such a case, I may be well inspired to target 1 hour instead.
When the target is a little higher than what we are already doing, it pushes us to take a small step and fill the gap. When the target is too high, it becomes counter-productive. Why would I do an extra step if I stay so far anyway?
You can also give up on a goal when you don’t feel like pursuing it anymore or when you have already ingrained the habit and don’t need to monitor it any longer. Our aspirations evolve over time.
When a goal doesn’t make you dream anymore, it’s often better to let it go than drag it along painfully. You shouldn’t feel guilty about giving up goals as it’s natural. But, that doesn’t mean we should stop as soon as the first difficulty arises. It’s a matter of balance.

Take a break

It is also a good idea to take breaks at times, hit the pause button and do something else. It can be very beneficial. Even professional athletes take a break between two seasons in order to recover physically and mentally. They get back to training all pumped up for the new season.
Do the same when you feel tired. It will help you get refreshed and hungry.
Don’t forget to set a date for your come back though!
Once a month or every other month, try and take an “appointment with yourself” and review your goals. Assess what works well, update your goals and refine your strategies. These are some of the best ways to stay motivated and reignite your desire to go ahead.

10 Terrific Self Motivating Tips

No one can motivate anyone to do anything. All a person can do for another is
provide them with incentives to motivate themselves. Here are ten very effective
strategies to help you get up and get moving toward actualizing your enormous,
untapped potential.

* Be willing to leave your comfort zone. The greatest barrier to achieving your
potential is your comfort zone. Great things happen when you make friends with your discomfort zone.

* Don’t be afraid to make mistakes. Wisdom helps us avoid making mistakes and comes from making a million of them.

* Don’t indulge in self-limiting thinking. Think empowering, expansive thoughts.

*Choose to be happy. Happy people are easily motivated. Happiness is your
birthright so don’t settle for anything else.

* Spend at least one hour a day in self-development. Read good books or listen to inspiring tapes. Driving to and from work provides an excellent opportunity to listen to self-improvement tapes.

* Train yourself to finish what you start. So many of us become scattered as we
try to accomplish a task. Finish one task before you begin another.

* Live fully in the present moment. When you live in the past or the future you
aren’t able to make things happen in the present.

* Commit yourself to joy. C.S. Lewis once said, “Joy is the serious business of
heaven.”

* Never quit when you experience a setback or frustration. Success could be just
around the corner.

* Dare to dream big dreams. If there is anything to the law of expectation then we are moving in the direction of our dreams, goals and expectations.
The real tragedy in life is not in how much we suffer, but rather in how much we
miss, so don’t miss a thing.

Charles Dubois once said, “We must be prepared, at any moment, to sacrifice who we are for who we are capable of becoming.”

The Top 10 Steps to Set and Achieve Your Goals – Every Time!

It’s been said that everyone has goals, whether we know it or not. We have goals to keep our current job, or to get a different one. We have goals to save for the future, or to travel, take a vacation, or purchase the things we need and want to make our lives more enjoyable. An important distinction, however, is that top achievers are very intentional and focused on their goals, while many of the rest of us are not.

Top achievers know that the wording, structure, timing and format of a goal can make it’s achievement much easier – or far more difficult. Top achievers understand the basic skills for setting and reaching their goals, every time! They know how to design goals that create success. Here are the 10 most important steps to set and achieve your goals:

1. Reachable goals are SPECIFIC.

Top achievers know that to reach their goals, the brain must know exactly, precisely, what they are trying to accomplish. Never word a goal with vague terms like “some” or “a little bit”, or “more”. Be specific! If you want to lose 8 pounds and reach a weight of 175, specify those exact numbers. If you want to save $200 this month, be exact. Your brain can help you accomplish almost anything if it knows precisely what you are aiming for.

2. Reachable goals are SIMPLE.

Many people describe their goals in complex terms of retiring on the beach in Hawaii, with nice cars and lots of money, and…. Their list goes on and on. Any ONE of those things is a great goal, but the combination becomes over whelming and the brain gets confused. If you want to retire in Hawaii, just say so! If you want to increase your sales by 10% this month, say so! Keep your goals simple, clear, and focused.

3. Reachable goals are SIGNIFICANT.

No one can muster the enthusiasm, hard work and courage to reach a goal they don’t really care about. A reachable goal is one you really, really, REALLY want! It’s something that will change your life, enhance your health or wealth, and make you proud. It gets your juices flowing, gets you up in the morning, and keeps you going all day long, because it is important! Set goals that are worth achieving!

4. Reachable goals are STRATEGIC.

High achievers know that the best goals accomplish many great outcomes, all at one time. Running a 10K race will almost certainly: 1) feel great! 2) help you lose weight. 3) lower your cholesterol level 4) strengthen your heart 5) lower you risk of heart disease 6) increase your energy and stamina, and 7) improve your outlook. Design your goals to strategically impact as many areas of your life as possible. You’ll have more reasons to reach your goal and more excitement when you do!

5. Reachable goals are MEASURABLE.

A goal without a measurable outcome is just a pipe-dream. You can’t achieve a pound of “happiness” or 6 inches of “self-esteem”, but you CAN get a new job. You CAN run a mile in under 7 minutes, or do 100 sit-ups. Someone has wisely observed that, “What gets measured, gets done.” Define your goals in terms of height, weight, dollars, inches, or hours. Then measure your progress until you achieve your desired outcome.

6. Reachable goals are RATIONAL.

To reach your goal, you will need a plan, a path, and a vehicle for getting there. Your goals must make sense! When you explain them to friends and family, your goals should create excitement, draw support, and encouragement. Your goals should be just out of reach, but not out of sight! You want to stretch to be your best, not strain after impossible dreams. Set goals you CAN and WILL achieve!

7. Reachable goals are TANGIBLE.

Choose goals that you can see, hear, smell or touch. Go for things you will enjoy and that you can clearly visualize. The brain has hard time going for “financial security”, but it can visualize a bank statement with nice, large numbers on it! Define your goals in terms that excite the senses, then go for it with all your heart!

8. Reachable goals are WRITTEN.

High achievers always know precisely what they want, because they’ve written it down. Often, they write a short description of their goals every single morning, as a personal reminder of their priorities and their objectives. The act of writing your goals down vastly increases your chance of success. Write it down! Then, keep your notes where you can see and read them every day.

9. Reachable goals are SHARED.

We are far more likely to stick to our plan and reach our goals if we know our friends and family support us. Being part of a team increases our determination, our stamina, and our courage. Caution: Never share your goals with anyone who may ridicule, tease or discourage you! The world is full of doubters and you have no time for them. But, find a support team, a group of cheerleaders, and a coach who will encourage you every step of the way. High achievers count on and work with other winners!

10. Reachable goals are CONSISTENT WITH YOUR VALUES.

One of the biggest reasons people fail to achieve their goals is that they have conflict between their behavior and their values. However, when your values and your goals are in agreement, there is no stopping you! Clarify your values first, then set simple, specific, measurable, tangible, written goals that are consistent with those values. You will achieve them, every single time!
